From June 1 to 4, 2025, Vice President Jiang Jiang of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) led a delegation to Uzbekistan for the Second Uzbek-Chinese Regional Forum and paid a visit to the country. In the opening remarks at the opening ceremony, Vice President Jiang reviewed the outcomes achieved in recent years through cooperation between Chinese provinces and cities and Uzbek counterparts. On June 6, 2025, Vice President Yuan Mindao met with Mohamed Rasheed, President of the South Asia-China Friendship and Cooperation Organization (SACFCO) and Chairman of the China-Maldivian Cultural Association, at the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC).Vice President Yuan expressed his appreciation for Mohamed Rasheed's long-standing contributions to promoting cultural exchanges between China and the Maldives. The two sides exchanged views on jointly hosting the 2025 China South Asia Young Leaders Exchange Program and the Ninth China South Asia Friendship Organizations' Forum in the second half of the year. On June 3, 2025, Vice President Yuan Mindao met with the Japanese cultural delegation led by Kuboshima Seiichirō, a renowned Japanese writer and Standing Committee Member of the Japan-China Cultural Exchange Association, at the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) and hosted a banquet in honor of the delegation. From May 25 to 30, 2025, at the joint invitation of Kazan, Russia, and Maricá, Brazil, Sun Xueqing, Secretary-General of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), led a delegation to attend the General Assembly of BRICS+ Association of Cities and Municipalities in Maricá, Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil. Secretary-General Sun Xueqing delivered a keynote speech at the event. The assembly brought together representatives from cities and subnational governments across 26 countries, including China, Brazil, Ethiopia, India, Iran, Russia, and South Africa.Secretary-General Sun Xueqing remarked that, subnational city cooperation is a vital driving force for the high-quality development of broader BRICS Cooperation. As a founding member of the BRICS+ Association of Cities and Municipalities, the CPAFFC has consistently upheld the BRICS spirit of openness, inclusiveness, and win-win cooperation. On the morning of May 29, 2025, Vice President Shen Xin of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) met with a delegation from Oxfam Hong Kong, led by Betty Pun, the newly appointed Director General. On May 26, 2025, the First China-India-UAE Tripartite Dialogue was successfully held in Beijing. Co-hosted by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) and Peking University, the dialogue centered on the theme "An Open and Cooperative Asia." Speakers at the opening ceremony included Vice President Yuan Mindao of the CPAFFC, Vice President Fang Fang of Peking University, H.E. Nickolay Mladenov, Director-General of the Emirates Diplomatic Academy, and Mohammed Saqib, CEO of the India China Economic and Cultural Council and Convener of the Global South Geoeconomic Center.The event brought together representatives and thought leaders from government, academia, and media across the three countries. On May 27, 2025, "2025 Shandong International Friendship Cities Cooperation and Exchange Week" officially kicked off in Jinan. The event is hosted by the People's Government of Shandong Province under the guidance of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC). Lin Wu, Secretary of the Shandong Provincial Party Committee; Zhou Naixiang, Governor of Shandong; Tupouto'a Ulukalala, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Defense of the Kingdom of Tonga; H.E. Korn Dabbaransi, former Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand and President of the Thai-Chinese Friendship Association; Alexander Subbotin, Chairman of the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee, Belarus; Hussam A.G.Al Husseini, Ambassador of Jordan to China; as well as other representatives from over 120 provinces, states, and cities across 47 countries. Officials from national ministries and commissions, including the International Department of the CPC Central Committee and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs—alongside delegates from international organizations, enterprises, and business associations, also participated in the event.
