President Yang Wanming Meets with Premier of Saskatchewan, Canada Scott Moe
On September 8, 2025, President Yang Wanming of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) met with Scott Moe, Premier of Saskatchewan, Canada, and his delegation, at the CPAFFC. The two sides exchanged views on promoting the improvement and development of China-Canada relations, as well as on deepening subnational cooperation and cultural exchanges. Kody Blois, Parliamentary Secretary to the Prime Minister of Canada; Jennifer May, Canadian Ambassador to China; and Shen Xin, Vice President of the CPAFFC, were present at the meeting.President Yang noted that China-Canada relations had long been at the forefront of China's ties with developed Western countries. In recent years, however, the relationship has faced certain difficulties. Since Prime Minister Mark Carney took office, China-Canada relations have shown signs of warming. President Yang stressed that, taking the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries as an opportunity, China stands ready to work with Canada, on the basis of equality and mutual respect, to expand exchanges and cooperation across a wide range of fields, properly address each other's concerns through constructive dialogue and consultation, and bring bilateral relations out of their low ebb onto the right track of improvement and development, so as to better benefit both countries and their peoples. Vice President Yuan Mindao Attends the 15th Plenary Session of the China-Russia Committee for Friendship, Peace and Development
From September 4, 2025 to September 7, 2025, at the invitation of the China-Russia Committee for Friendship, Peace and Development (CRCFPD), Yuan Mindao, Vice President of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) and representative of the Chinese Chairing Organization of the Council of Friends, traveled to Vladivostok, Russia for the 15th Plenary Session of the CRCFPD. The session was co-chaired by Li Hongzhong, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, and Chinese Chair of the CRCFPD, together with Boris Titov, Russian Chair of the CRCFPD. Messages of congratulation from President Xi Jinping and President Vladimir Putin were read at the meeting. More than 80 council chairs and representatives from both sides were present at the meeting.In his remarks, Vice President Yuan Mindao reviewed a series of activities organized by the CPAFFC in support of the Theme Years, subnational cooperation, and cultural exchanges. Vice President Shen Xin Attends ICCIC Symposium Marking the 80th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War
On August 29, 2025, Shen Xin, Vice President of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), attended and delivered remarks at a symposium hosted in Beijing by the International Committee for the Promotion of Chinese Industrial Cooperatives (ICCIC) to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. Zhang Ge, Secretary of the CPC Haidian District Committee of Beijing; Jiao Yutong, Vice President of the Beijing People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries; Michael Crook, President of ICCIC; Mike Dawson, President of the New Zealand China Friendship Society; relatives and descendants of international friends; ICCIC members; as well as experts and scholars from related fields—nearly 100 participants in total—attended the event.In his remarks, Vice President Shen Xin paid high tribute to ICCIC and the international friends who fought alongside the Chinese people and made significant contributions to China's revolution, development, and reform. Vice President Lu Xiangdong Attends the 4th Northeast Asia Regional Cooperation Roundtable
On August 26, 2025, the 4th Northeast Asia Regional Cooperation Roundtable was successfully convened in Changchun, Jilin Province. Liu Kai, Vice Governor of Jilin Province; Lu Xiangdong, Vice President of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC); Lim Byung-jin, Secretary-General of the Association of Northeast Asia Regional Governments, representatives of relevant international organizations, delegates from Chinese provinces and cities, as well as heads of subnational governments and diplomatic envoys from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), Japan, the Republic of Korea (ROK), Mongolia and Russia—more than 160 participants in total—attended this roundtable. Centered on the theme "Promoting Quality Exchanges and Cooperation, Pioneering a Beautiful Future for Northeast Asia," participants engaged in in-depth discussions on broadening and deepening practical cooperation at the subnational level and exploring new areas of collaboration, reaching broad consensus.In his remarks, Vice Governor Liu Kai noted that since the launch of the Northeast Asia Regional Cooperation Roundtable mechanism six years ago, and with the concerted efforts of all parties, it has achieved fruitful results and injected strong momentum into regional development. Vice President Yuan Mindao Attends the "Korea-China Ties" City Cooperation Exchange Event
On August 25, 2025, the "Korea-China Ties" City Cooperation Exchange Event was held in Shanghai. Yuan Mindao, Vice President of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC); Chen Jing, President of the Shanghai People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries; Su Lin, Vice President of the Shanghai People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries; Kim Tae-heum, Governor of Chungcheongnam-do Province of the Republic of Korea; Kim Young-jun, Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Shanghai; Qu Huan, President of the Korea China Association for Cultural Exchange; together with about 180 representatives from subnational governments, councils, think tanks, universities, and enterprises from two countries, attended the event.In his remarks, Vice President Yuan Mindao emphasized that China and the Republic of Korea are close neighbors that cannot be separated, as well as important cooperation partners. Delegation of the Confederation of Young Leaders of India Visits China

Pacific Island Students in China Join the 2025 Run with Yiwu—Global Youth Business Program
From August 18, 2025 to August 22, 2025, to further implement President Xi Jinping's policy on Pacific Island countries and to empower Pacific youth in entrepreneurship, the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) invited student representatives from nine Pacific Island countries studying in China—Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Kiribati, the Federated States of Micronesia, Nauru, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, and Vanuatu—to Yiwu, Zhejiang Province, for the Pacific Islands Session of the 2025 Run with Yiwu—Global Youth Business Program. Ambassadors of Pacific Island countries to China, including H.E. Mr. Tauaika Utaatu, Ambassador of Tonga to China; H.E. Mr. KS (Vincent) Sivas, Ambassador of the Federated States of Micronesia to China; and H.E.
