On August 7, 2025, Shen Xin, Vice President of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), met with Luis Neves, Chief Executive Officer of the Global Enabling Sustainability Initiative (GeSI), and his delegation, at the CPAFFC. The two sides discussed future cooperation focusing on building platforms for exchanges between Chinese and foreign cities in areas such as digital infrastructure transformation and sustainable development.Deng Lan, Deputy Director-General of the Department of American and Oceanian Affairs of the CPAFFC, was present at the meeting.

On August 6, 2025, Shen Xin, Vice President of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), met with Alberto Blanco Silva, Cuban Ambassador to China.The two sides exchanged views on further strengthening the traditional friendship between China and Cuba, deepening bilateral relations, and co-hosting a reception to mark the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.Deng Lan, Deputy Director-General of the Department of American and Oceanian Affairs of the CPAFFC, was present at the meeting.

"True friends always feel close to each other, no matter the distance between them." Recently, at the World Youth Conference for Peace hosted by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), the official call for submissions to the "So Far, So Close" China-Latin America Youth Short Video Competition was issued to young people across five continents.Co-hosted by CPAFFC and China Youth Daily, the Competition features five sub-themes: Living Comparisons, Creative Cuisine, City Interactions, Cultural Heritage, and Achievements in Cooperation. With the vision of "finding common ground amid differences and creating resonance through exchange", the event aims to highlight vivid stories of shared destiny and people-to-people ties between China and Latin America. It also seeks to convey the aspirations of young people from both regions to pursue development and revitalization together, and to jointly build a China-Latin America community with a shared future. Participants at home and abroad are encouraged to draw on personal experiences and submit works in creative formats such as Vlogs and micro-short dramas, presenting multidimensional stories of Chinese and Latin American people-to-people connectivity and the fruitful results of cooperation across various fields.Submissions will be accepted until the end of October 2025. From July 30 to August 2, 2025, at the invitation of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), a delegation of young entrepreneurs from Latin America visited Yiwu, Zhejiang Province, to participate in the Latin America Session of the 2025 "Run with Yiwu"—Global Youth Business Program. The 30-member delegation, composed of young entrepreneurs from Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay, focused on emerging industries such as biotechnology, life sciences, and artificial intelligence.At the launching ceremony of the 2025 Run with Yiwu—Global Youth Business Program, Xing Huidong, Full-time Vice President of the Zhejiang Provincial People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries; Gao Jin, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Yiwu Municipal Committee and Vice Mayor of Yiwu; and Diego Marcos, Head of the Latin American youth entrepreneurs delegation and Executive President of the Argentina-China Association for People-to-People Cooperation, delivered remarks.During their stay in Yiwu, the delegation toured the Yiwu Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, Yiwu International Trade City, Yiwu (Suxi) International Hub Port, and the Zhejiang Human Resources Service Export Base. Through immersive visits and interactive exchanges, the Latin American young entrepreneurs gained deeper insights into Yiwu's remarkable journey from "bartering sugar for chicken feathers" to becoming the "World Small Commodity Hub." They witnessed firsthand the city's dynamic commercial vitality and globally connected logistics network. In training sessions, Chinese and Latin American young entrepreneurs engaged in lively discussions, exchanging ideas on innovation and entrepreneurship. The interactions not only sparked fresh inspiration but also fostered lasting friendships between youth from China and Latin America.The delegation also participated in a series of cultural activities, including traditional Chinese medicine practices such as acupuncture and cupping, Wu Opera, lacquer fan making, paper-cutting, and woodblock printing—further enriching their appreciation of Chinese culture.As a supporting event of the World Youth Conference for Peace at the subnational level, the program aimed to consolidate the outcomes of the conference, empower international youth in innovation and entrepreneurship in China, amplify voices of friendship, and share opportunities for common development.

At the invitation of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), a youth delegation from São Paulo State University, Brazil, visited China from July 26 to August 2, 2025. During their stay, the delegation attended the World Youth Conference for Peace, organized by CPAFFC at Peking University, and also visited Guizhou Province.At the World Youth Conference for Peace, Daniel, head of the delegation, delivered a heartfelt speech recalling the memorable experience when faculty and students of São Paulo State University jointly wrote to President Xi Jinping and received his reply. He shared vivid stories of his personal connection with China, as well as his understanding and reflection on President Xi Jinping's reply, China-Brazil friendship, and world peace. From July 26, 2025 to July 30, 2025, the 2025 China-Arab Youth Friendship Ambassadors Program was successfully held in Dalian and Beijing. The program was co-hosted by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) and the Arab League of China-Arab Friendship Associations (hereinafter referred to as "ALCAFA"), and organized by the Foreign Affairs Office of the Dalian Municipal People's Government. The theme of this year's program was "Cooperation, Development, Peace." Youth representatives from ten countries—including Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, and China—attended the event.During their stay in Dalian, the delegation visited Hengli Petrochemical (Dalian) Co., Ltd., Hengli Heavy Industry Group, CRRC Dalian Co., Ltd., the Dalian Urban Planning Exhibition Center, and the Donggang Business District. A China-Arab Youth Friendship Exchange Symposium was also held, and Xiao Shengfeng, President of the Dalian People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries; Yan Lijun, Cheng Yingjun, and Jiang Chunmei, Vice Presidents of the Dalian People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries; Guo Huiyi, Secretary-General of the Dalian Youth Federation; Xu Yan, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Asian and African Affairs of the CPAFFC; and Farid Niama, Head of the ALCAFA, attended the symposium and delivered remarks respectively. At the symposium, youth representatives from two sides praised the longstanding friendship and practical cooperation between China and Arab countries. They engaged in in-depth discussions on how the younger generation can build closer bridges of cooperation. Participants unanimously affirmed that China and Arab states remain committed to the path of peaceful development, mutual learning, mutual benefit, and win-win outcomes. They expressed the readiness to use the program as an opportunity to share national development experiences and opportunities, and to work together as guardians of peace and security, advocates of open development, and promoters of mutual learning among civilizations—contributing youthful energy to building a higher-level China-Arab community with a shared future.While in Beijing, the delegation also attended the World Youth Conference for Peace. Palestinian youth delegate Ibrahim was invited to participate in the launch of the initiative's key outcome document, the World Youth Peace Initiative.The China-Arab Youth Friendship Ambassadors Program, jointly initiated by the CPAFFC and ALCAFA, has become an established youth exchange mechanism and has been successfully held for four sessions to date.

From July 30 to August 1, 2025, at the invitation of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), a 28-member "Hehe" Culture Communication and Exchange Delegation—composed mainly of foreign youth living in China—traveled to Taizhou, Zhejiang, following their participation in the World Youth Conference for Peace in Beijing. Delegates came from more than 20 countries across Asia, Europe, Africa and the Americas, including winners of the 2024 "China in My Eyes—One City, One Specialty" Short Video Competition organized by CPAFFC, as well as representatives of awardees from past sessions of the "My Story of Chinese Hanzi" International Contest. Over the three-day exchange program, the delegation engaged in field visits and in-depth interactions, gaining immersive insights into China's "Hehe" culture and the achievements of Chinese modernization, further deepening understanding and friendship between Chinese and foreign youth.A highlight of the program was the awards ceremony of the "China in My Eyes—One City, One Specialty" Short Video Competition held during the same period. Since its launch in 2021 by CPAFFC, the competition has been held for four sessions, amassing more than 130 million views and attracting broad public attention. This year's event, themed "One City, One Specialty", drew participants from nearly 40 countries who produced over 200 works. The entries not only showcased distinctive cultural and tourism resources and products with geographical indications from across China, but also vividly reflected the vitality of high-quality urban development. At the awards ceremony, 20 works received the Grand Prize, First  Prize, Second Prize and Third Prize, as well as Excellence Award. Interactive segments—including cultural performances, intangible cultural heritage experiences, and food tastings—further brought Chinese and foreign youth closer through immersive participation.At the "Global Youth New Media Cultural Innovation Dialogue", delegation members interacted actively with local online influencers and media representatives. Discussions focused on topics such as "Shaping China's Image from a Foreign Perspective", "Youthful Expressions of Traditional Cultural IP", and "Sharing Experiences in Global Short-Video Creation." Participants enthusiastically shared their personal connections with China and their journeys in short-video production, unanimously recognizing cultural exchange as a vital bridge for fostering friendship among nations and promoting world peace. Many expressed their determination to continue promoting China's rich cultural heritage through concrete action, to harness the potential of youth, and to serve as guardians of peaceful development, contributors to cultural inheritance, and promoters of exchanges among civilizations—committing their youthful energy to building a community with a shared future for mankind.During their stay, the delegation also visited the Taizhou "Brain of City" operation center, the Tiantai Hehe Renjian Cultural Park, Guoqing Temple, and Tahou Village. Through these field visits, they gained a direct understanding of the contemporary practice of "Hehe" culture and the vitality of local urban development. From deep historical traditions to modern governance, they experienced the full breadth of China's development momentum.The CPC Taizhou Municipal Committee and the Taizhou Municipal People's Government attached great importance to the event. To deepen the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for a new era and promote mutual learning and exchanges between the youth of two countries, the Fifth "China-Russia Youth Friendship Journey" Event was co-hosted by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) and the Russia-China Friendship Association. The event took place from July 21, 2025, to July 30, 2025, in Jiujiang, Jiangxi Province; Xiangtan, Hunan Province; and Xiangxi, Hunan Province, with nearly 100 young participants from various sectors of the two countries in attendance.Experiencing the "Harmony of Ecology." Chinese and Russian youth ascended Mount Lu (Lushan) together and recited Li Bai's poem "Viewing the Waterfall at Mount Lu", reflecting on the traditional Chinese concept of ecological harmony—the unity of man and nature. They jointly planted evergreen trees in the China-Russia Red Tourism Cooperation and Exchange Commemorative Forest and, in Xiangxi, embraced the development philosophy that "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets", recognizing successful practices that advance ecological conservation alongside economic growth.Revisiting the "Harmony of History" In Xiangtan, the hometown of Comrade Mao Zedong, participants laid a floral tribute at his statue, bowed in solemn respect, and visited the memorial hall and former residence of Mao Zedong to honor his historic contributions as the leader of China's revolution. At Xiangtan University's simulation and virtual laboratory, they took part in a virtual tour of the Memorial Exhibition of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, immersively retracing the nation's 14-year struggle and jointly commemorating heroic deeds. During a youth symposium themed "Remembering History and Pursuing Youth Aspirations in Safeguarding World Peace", participants exchanged views on the responsibilities and mission of the younger generation.Singing Together the "Harmony of Culture." At Jiujiang Vocational University, Chinese and Russian youth studied traditional tea art, cloisonné craftsmanship, and Chinese tie-dye techniques. They also enjoyed a night cruise on the "Xunyangjiang" to view the neon-lit Yangtze River, and, under the guidance of a renowned Chinese pipa musician, learned the fundamentals of this traditional Chinese instrument. In Xiangxi, they gained deeper insights into the development of ethnic minority areas. At Huayuan County No. 3 Middle School, Chinese and Russian youth staged a joint cultural performance: Russian participants sang traditional folk songs, while Chinese participants presented Xiangxi's distinctive drum dances as well as dragon and lion dances, creating a warm and festive atmosphere of friendship.Personally Witnessing the "Harmony of Development." At the Science and Innovation Center of Jiujiang Foreign Language School, youth participants engaged in immersive demonstrations of cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence and bionic robotics. In Shibadong Village, Xiangxi—where President Xi Jinping first proposed the concept of "targeted poverty alleviation"—they learned about China's achievements in poverty eradication and rural revitalization. At the Aizhai Bridge, they experienced a "walk in the clouds", marveling at China's infrastructure development that has turned "natural barriers into thoroughfares."On July 29, 2025, Russian youth representatives attended the World Youth Conference for Peace in Beijing. Leonid Petukhin, head of the delegation and Vice President of the Russia-China Friendship Association, took part in the joint reading of the "World Youth Peace Initiative." Russian artists also delivered a captivating musical performance.

To further implement the outcomes of the FOCAC Beijing Summit and respond to the Partnership Action for Green Development, the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) hosted the 5th China-Africa Future Leaders' Dialogue from July 22, 2025 to July 30, 2025 in Jinhua, Zhejiang Province, and in Beijing. Youth representatives from 12 African countries—including Ghana, Cameroon, and Kenya—together with Chinese youth representatives from Tsinghua University, took part in exchange programs and related activities in two cities.While in Jinhua, the delegation focused on themes such as educational innovation, rural revitalization, and green industrial transformation. They visited the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center for Teacher Education Training and the College of Engineering Laboratory at Zhejiang Normal University, as well as the Intelligent Precision Manufacturing Industrial Park at Jinhua University of Vocational Technology, where they learned about China's latest progress in educational innovation and vocational training. They also toured the National Innovation Base for Aquatic Vegetable Breeding, the Chinese medicinal herb resource garden, and the Senshan Health Town, gaining insights into advances in modern, integrated, and industrialized agriculture. Visits to the Baxian Jidao Common Prosperity Belt, Baise Forest Birthday Town, and Lizu Village offered them a firsthand look at the transformation of China's rural areas. The delegation also explored Yiwu International Trade City's one-stop green industry procurement platform, and visited the Former Residence of Chen Wangdao to reflect on the enduring power of revolutionary ideals.In Beijing, discussions centered on ecological protection, low-carbon development, and urban renewal. The group visited the Zhifengtang Bee Museum and the Nanhaizi Milu Park, witnessing green examples of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature. At Shougang Park's No. 3 Blast Furnace and the NOLO Future Digital Space, they explored the transformation of a century-old industrial site through digitalization. They also visited the Beijing "Two Zones" Exhibition Hall, the Grand Canal Museum of Beijing, and Beijing Wenyuhe Park to better understand how the “dual carbon” vision is being integrated with cutting-edge technology in the capital city.On July 28, 2025, the Achievements Presentation of the 5th China-Africa Future Leaders' Dialogue and the China-Africa Youth Green Development Dialogue were held in Beijing. Chinese and African youth representatives presented project outcomes on topics including the green transformation of the Rwenzori Coffee Cooperative, wastewater recycling in Ghana's Madina community, China-Africa vocational training cooperation, the China-Africa Youth Poverty Reduction Camp, African Heritage Women's Development, smart agriculture monitoring, and joint photovoltaic energy storage projects. Wang Yu, Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group of the Beijing People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries; Huang Xiaowei, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Asian and African Affairs of the CPAFFC, and Hou Zhenxing, Deputy Governor of Tongzhou District People's Government of Beijing, attended the event and delivered remarks. Xia Xuejie, Deputy Director of the Beijing Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Center, delivered a keynote speech.During the event, the delegation also attended the World Youth Conference for Peace, the 5th China-Africa Future Leaders' Dialogue Symposium on Green Development, and the "Into Green Beijing" welcoming banquet. Chinese and African youth representatives said that President Xi Jinping's congratulatory letter to the World Youth Conference for Peace had greatly strengthened young people's confidence in safeguarding world peace. They expressed their readiness to take this dialogue as an opportunity to further deepen exchanges and cooperation in science and technology, education, and ecology, and to contribute their youth energy to advancing China-Africa green and sustainable development and building a better future for all.Launched in 2021 by the CPAFFC under the framework of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), the China-Africa Future Leaders' Dialogue has become a regular exchange mechanism. This year's dialogue, held as a supporting event of the World Youth Conference for Peace, was co-organized by the Zhejiang Provincial People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the Jinhua Municipal People's Government, the Beijing People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, and the Beijing Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Center. It was co-supported by the People's Government of Tongzhou District of Beijing, the Center for Global Competence Development at Tsinghua University, and the China-Africa Leadership Development Institute (CALDI), with support from the China Friendship Foundation for Peace and Development.
