Vice President Shen Xin welcomed Premier Scott Moe on his second visit to China in four months. He noted that, through the joint efforts of the two sides, China-Canada relations had seen a turnaround, which served the common interests of both countries and was widely welcomed by people from all sectors in the two countries. Vice President Shen Xin said the CPAFFC stands ready to work with Premier Scott Moe and other friends from various sectors in Canada to actively implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, promote exchanges and cooperation in education, culture, tourism, sports and subnational affairs, facilitate people-to-people exchanges, and strengthen the public support for China-Canada friendship, thereby supporting the further improvement and development of China-Canada relations at the people-to-people and subnational levels.

Premier Scott Moe thanked the CPAFFC for its long-standing strong support for Saskatchewan's cooperation with China. He said he was honored to accompany Prime Minister Mark Carney on his visit to China and to witness the historic process of Canada recalibrating its relations with China. He noted that the economies of Canada and China are highly complementary and that the two countries share broad common interests. He expressed readiness to contribute to enhancing mutual trust and respect and deepening mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields.

Sun Tao, Director-General of the Department of American and Oceanian Affairs of the CPAFFC, and Ba Cuicui, Deputy Director-General of the Department of American and Oceanian Affairs of the CPAFFC, were present at the meeting.
