The Imperial Springs International Forum, cohosted by Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) and Australia China Friendship and Exchange Association is successfully convened at Imperials Springs, Guangdong Province from 16th to 17th, October, 2015. Mr. Hu Chunhua, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Party Secretary of Guangdong Province and Dr. Ma Peihua, Vice Chairman of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference attended and addressed the Forum. More than 100 representatives from the circle of politics, expertise, business and media, including 7 former heads of states and governments and political leaders attended the Forum. Mr. Xie Yuan, Vice President of CPAFFC attending the “Cooperation and Friendship Between Global Leaders” Tree-Planting Ceremony Participants for the Forum discussed upon topics such as “Silk Road Economic Belt and 21st Century Maritime Silk Road Initiatives--New Opportunity and New Challenge” and analyzed China’s role in shaping international order and promoting global economy. They also raised constructive suggestions for the status-quo of international security and challenges in the fields of economy. 

On Oct.16, Mr.Ji Bingxuan, the Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, met with Seiji Maehara,the Former Foreign Minister of Japan and the President of Ryouunkai Group of The Democratic Party of Japan，and his delegation of congressman. They exchanged opinions on Sino-Japanese relations and other issues concerned by both sides. Mr. Song Jingwu, Vice President of CPAFFC attended meeting.  The delegation visited China at the invitation of CPAFFC.

  On 16th of October, the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) together with Bangladeshi Embassy successfully held the reception celebrating the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Bangladesh in Beijing.Madam Shen Yueyue, Vice- Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, Mr. Liu Zhenmin, Vice Foreign Minister and Madam Lin Yi, Vice President of the CPAFFC from Chinese side together with Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, Speaker of Bangladesh Parliament and H.E. Mr. M. Fazlul Karim, Ambassador of Bangladesh to China from Bangladeshi side as well as 100 odds people were present at the reception. In her remarks, Vice President Lin Yi pointed out that both as developing countries with huge population, China and Bangladesh are shouldering the common historical responsibility of national prosperity, devoting to the great dream of national rejuvenation and good vision of peoples’ happiness. The CPAFFC would like to join hands with all friends present here, take the occasion of the 40th anniversary as an opportunity to expand exchanges in all fields, promote mutual understanding and friendship, to construct a closer comprehensive partnership of cooperation, and strive for the realization of Chinese Dream and the dream of Golden Bengal.   In her speech, Dr. Shirin Chaudhury, Speaker of Bangladesh Parliament expressed that in this era of globalization, the well-being of our two peoples is obdurately intertwined. We want to strive together with friends from China to bring happiness and prosperity for our peoples. and on this happy occasion of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relationship between Bangladesh and China, I reiterate Bangladesh’s firm commitment to strengthened and deepen Bangladesh-China friendship in the days ahead.  Madam Shen Yueyue, Vice- Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress and Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, Speaker of Bangladesh Parliament also unveiled the Commemorative Envelop for the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Bangladesh.

From October 13th to 15th Mrs. Hu Chunmei, Associated Counsel of the Department of European and Asian Affairs attended the preparatory working conference of The Silk Road International Cultural Expo in Dunhuang and delivered a speech entitled “Vision and Actions on cultural exchanges and economic cooperation between China and the countries along the Silk Road” The Expo, hosted by the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the CPC, the Ministry of Culture, People's Government of Gansu Province and co-organized by the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, is a national advanced forum and platform with culture as its theme in our country. The first Expo will be held in 2016.

On October 15th, Mr Shen Xin, Deputy Director-General of European Department of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), met with Mr Mikko Puustinen, Press and Culture Counsellor of the Embassy of Finland. The two sides exchanged ideas on the upcoming Reception on occasion of the 65th Anniversary of the Establishment of China-Finland Diplomatic Relations including the time, location, form and scale.

On 13th, October 2015, Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries successfully held the reception celebrating the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Canada in Diaoyutai State Guesthouse. Around 100 people , including representatives from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Culture, professors from Chinese Academy of Fine Arts and delegates from Canadian Embassy in China and Canada China Business Council were present at the reception. At present, we saw prosperous development in regards of people to people exchanges between the two countries.   On Oct. 12th, Vice President Lin Yi met with Mr.Francois-Michel LAMBERT, Vice Chairman of Committee of Territory Arrangement and Durable Development of National Assembly (Commission Développement Durable et Aménagement du Territoire de l'Assemblée nationale) and his delegation. Vice President Lin Yi said, current development of world economy is facing with energy and ecological crisis, and sustainable development is a common topic around the world. The Chinese government pays great attention to environmental protection and sustainable development. The Chinese government have put circular economy into China's national strategy in 2002, and set up pilot cities and pilot projects for it. It is welcome that the delegation from France visits the Chinese cities for the circular economy, and CPAFFC will help and promote the circular economy cooperation between China and France. Mr. Michel LAMBERT said that, China is in the forefront of legislation and practice of circular economy all over the world. This time they learn much from China, and will report it to President Hollande. Circular economy is increasingly drawn attention from French central and local governments. Paris Region, Rh?ne-Alpes Region, Upper Normandy Region etc. have had willingness to set up pilots.Institute of Economy Circulation of France plans to hold China - France Circular Economy Forum in 2016 or 2017. It is expected that CPAFFC could help to invite and organize the Chinese representatives to participate. 

On October 10th, the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), China-Iran Friendship Association (CIFA) and Iran-China Friendship Association (ICFA) jointly held the 6th China-Iran Relations Seminar and 2015 Annual Meeting of the Friendship Associations between The Two Countries. Mme. Lin Yi, Vice President The CPAFFC, Mr. Hua Liming, Vice President of the CIFA, members of CIFA, responsible persons of relevant departments and enterprises which carry out exchanges and cooperation with Iran, Mr. Ahad Mohammadi, President of the ICFA, Mr. Ali Asghar Haji, Ambassador of Iran to China, cultural and press counselors and other diplomats from the embassy, all members of delegation from the ICFA to China and Iranian business men in China attended the event. The total number of the attendance is about 80. Vice President Lin Yi, President Mr. Mohammadi and Ambassador Mr. Haji delivered speeches at the opening ceremony. The seminar is divided into two sub forums: ‘economic and trade’ and ‘culture’. On the forums, the two sides have carried out in-depth exchanges on issues of common interest.       

   On Oct 9th, CPAFFC and Royal Thai Embassy co-hosted a reception celebrating the 40 anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand in Beijing. Madame Yan Junqi, Vice Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, Mr. Shi Guangsheng, president of Chinese-Thai Friendship Association, Ms. Lin Yi, Vice-President of CPAFFC, Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Foreign Minister of Thailand, Mr. Theerakun Niyom, Ambassador of the Royal Thai Embassy to China, Mr. Korn Dabbaransi, President of the Thai-Chinese Friendship Association, and around 300 representatives from various circles of China and Thailand attended the reception.   President Shi Guangsheng said in his speech that Thailand is a trust-worthy good friend, partner and neighbour of China. The continuous enhancement and development of China-Thailand traditional friendship is conducive not only to the common interests of the two countries and the two peoples, but also to the prosperity and stability of the region and the world at large. On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations, Chinese people are willing to join hands with our friends in Thailand to further our cooperation and to enrich the content of China-Thailand Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Relations. By doing so, we are able to make greater contributions to the regional peace, stability and development.   Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai said in his speech that the relationship between Thailand and China is based on the founding principles of mutual respect, trust and non-interference in internal affairs, as well as an intimate ethnic - cultural connection just like family members between our two countries. Thailand and China have elevated our diplomatic relations to a “Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership” since 2012. Thailand is ready to tally its policy of connectivity with China’s Belt and Road Initiative, so as to broaden our cooperation beyond the bilateral sphere, and achieve Coordinated development in the framework of ASEAN concepts. President Korn Dabbaransi reviewed the development of diplomatic relation between China and Thailand as well as the celebrations marking the anniversaries. He expressed his gratitude to CPAFFC for the invitation to him and his delegation and highly evaluated the friendly activities conducted by Associations of two countries on people-to-people channel.       During the celebration dinner, Vice Chairperson Yan Junqi and Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai signed on the First Day Cover marking the 40 anniversary of China-Thailand diplomatic relations. A brief meeting between Vice Chairperson Yan Junqi and Thai delegation was held before the celebration dinner.

At the invitation of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), a 5-member delegation led by Mrs. Tan Atac, President of Turkish Chinese Women’s Friendship & Culture Association visited China from September 14th to 28th, 2015. The Delegation visited Beijing , Tianjin and Xi’an. During the visit in Beijing, Ms. Lin Yi, Vice President of the CPAFFC hosted a welcome luncheon for the delegation. Turkish Ambassador Mr. Ali Murat Ersoy also attended the luncheon. In Tianjin, The delegation attended 2015 Asia Women’s Forum. As an honored guest, Mrs. Tan Atac made a speech at the opening ceremony. In Xi’an, the delegation participated in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Countries Commodity Fair.
